Our Mission
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, international, faith-based organization working in partnership with families and the community. Our goal is to improve lives by providing simple, decent and affordable home ownership.
Our History
Habitat for Humanity -Sarnia/Lambton (HFH - S/L) is part of an international, not-for-profit organization that works in partnership with families in need to provide them decent, affordable housing. Our local affiliate (of Habitat for Humanity Canada) started to take shape in August 1989 and was incorporated in 1994. To learn more about Habitat for Humanity Canada and International check out their websites with the links provided.
The organization follows the principles and guidelines developed by HFH International, but is locally managed and controlled by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors from the community.
Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton built its first home in 1994. To date we have build 16 homes in Sarnia and Lambton County and helped 64 people find affordable housing.
