Partnering With Habitat for Humanity

Habitat depends on organizations for our community to support the building of homes in Sarnia-Lambton. Partner organizations of all size and type are critical to achieving our mission. These organizations can come from all segments of our community: churches, industry, business, service groups, trade groups, etc. Partnership can mean the donation cash and/or supply volunteers to assist with the construction of a Habitat home. An organization that makes a large financial and volunteer commitment is called a "Major Sponsor" for a build.

In addition to the above Major Sponsors we have completed projects in Forest and Petrolia with broad support from their community organizations.

But we also encourage partnerships that can sponsor a portion of a build such as a kitchen, bath, flooring, siding, roofing or materials, or provide a building lot, etc.

It can be a great experience for your organization and for you. Partner organizations are able:

To tangibly live out part of their mission in the community
To be recognized by the community through
- signage at the build site
- signage at sponsors locations
- regular publicity
- Internal communications to members, and employees
- HFH Website
To give their members an opportunity to experience the joy and satisfaction of participating in a HFH build or other activity.
To partner with a charity that has a very positive reputation in our community and around the world.
